Make BFLA epic hard again, and repeatable!
Back when I did this quest before it got nerfed, it was the best thing I had ever played in GW.
I didnt mind at first that I couldnt repeat it because the rewards were too good for that, so I grinded through EOTN on a few other characters and completed WiK as well.
By the time I got to doing it on my last character with a full hero team, it was ridiculously easy, hardly a challenge and didnt feel anywhere near as great as it did the first time.
Now that we can use full hero teams, Anet should un-nerf BFLA and revert its difficulty to how it was at first, and also make the quest repeatable, but only give out a few war supplies for repeat completions, and limit the repeat to once per day.
I really want to do this quest again how it used to be before the nerf with full hero teams, and I am pretty fed up of having to grind through EOTN to do it, which I've already done on all 5 of my PVE characters and I dont want to make anymore just to have to do this quest.

I actually liked when BFLA was hard as well but something tells me they will not change it back.

Would love to see this happen but it's unlikely. The new BLA was made easy enough that it's possible to fight (and win) by pulling in giant waves from outside the gate...something I wouldn't dare to try on the original version.

bhavv agree that the first time felt like a true achievement. Doubt that they will revert the difficulty because then there would be complaints that it was unfair to have so many complete the easier version and then ramp it up again. Besides which, it sounds too much like work!

I'd say make it harder in HM than ever, leave nm alone, since people are likely to whine about it if it's actually challenging. This thread sounds like it belongs in sardelac though

Took my necro through BFLA. I don't know why they even bother making you do it now, I'm pretty sure the NPCs can win without me. Its THK all over again.
The one thing they do need to do if they make it hard/harder is to lower the armor on the jades, which is disgracefully high and half the reason certain classes found it hard in the first place.

Oh yea, and BUH has been nerfed too.
I was literally wiping things fast the first time I did it with the damage ward and BUH along with Savannah Heat, Snowstorm and other fire AoEs.

well, the main problem with it originally was that it was impossible for the majority of people to do with Heros and henchmen. Now that we can use two additional heros and not worry about lvl 10 or whatever henchmen it is easier even without it being nerfed.
The thing is though, the guild wars beyond content should be things that just about everyone can complete in normal mode, not just the best players. In hard mode it definitely should be a challenge, but in normal mode it really shouldn't. It is a long lore based questline that bridges the gap from EOTN to GW2. Every single person in the game should be allowed to experience it. Making it epic hard again, makes it impossible for the majority of the community to experience it.

A HM repeatable version of this quest would be great. I wish more of the War in Kryta was repeatable, I'd love to play it again without having to get all my other characters through EotN.

I agree with this sentiment. In normal mode, almost all players should be able to beat it. It should be a little challenging, but it doesnt need to be epic hard. That being said, why not make the hardmode version ludicrous hard? Making it repeatable with decent rewards would be fun. I agree with the idea that having to push multiple toons through various other content is annoying when I want to play it again.

Honestly this seems like a lot of e-peen stroking to me.
BFLA in itself was utter bland and boring you just wait for wave after wave, so while it WAS hard it wasn't really EPIC in any way.
(also I haven't done it in ages I didn't even know they changed it aside from that we now can use heroes instead of lowbie henches).

The OP is only asking for a challenge that was there at the beginning. This isn't UWsc/HA where everyone has to have 500+ stones or r11+ to join a group. I remember doing it for the first time and it was a very exciting challenge. Instead of my ego getting stroked I remember having fun like I was on a roller coaster.

I think the whole point of making the BFLA easier was the encourage the casual player to fully engross themselves into the continued storyline carrying them over to GW2. The reality is that even in it's current state, the quest is still relatively difficult, mainly easy in that you can survive multiple wipes and still resurrect to complete the quest. I like the idea of the casual player being able to get by this mission so they can do the Keiran quests.
I agree that it would be pretty sweet is if they let you repeat the battle in a HM format with some kind of reasonable reward (War Supplies, gold, chance of a WiK drop, etc...); leaving the NM version of the quest in its current state.

With ANet creating HM versions of existing quests, I think BFLA would be a great candidate.

I wouldn't be against a HM repeatable version, although I'd prefer if it was for parties of 8.

I would have zero interest in running a HM Battle for LA if the rewards remained the same as they are now.
I have very little motivation to do that kind of content for 100g exp scrolls and garbage sweets.
I have done WIK now on 7 characters and TBH opening Royal gifts has been a slap in the face.
